Our first art workshop at Lytham Hall, “2D to 3D” with Helen Pemberton was a session to stir creative juices. The group were introduced to mark making with
charcoal and shown how to make their drawings into sculptures.
Everyone was stretched. Usually
sculptures are made by cutting away the material and revealing the art within
but this process was more like a DIY construction kit where you made the pieces
and then fastened them together to build the sculpture.
An addictive process that resulted in
fascinating pieces.
Helen's next session is on 27th August.
