Art Circle Lytham Library, drawing what we see...

Two approaches to enable us to draw what we see rather than what we think we see.

In one we used a straight edge to identify vertical & horizontal lines which helped to determine angles and distances and in the other we drew a grid over the image and a grid on the paper to enable us to breakdown the image, plot where lines intersect and transfer the image into a drawing.

Angie:  using a straight edge & working from the vertical & horizontal

Julian:  using grids

after using the first method, Ray drew from memory

William:  using grids
Well done everyone - next week we'll do some cutting and sticking!
