Bruegal "Hunters in the Snow" Hiroshige "Travellers in the Snow" Sisley "The Watering Place at Marly-le-Roi
Using a book on cottages as a starting point, thumb nail sketches were made of possible compositions placing the chosen building into an imagined landscape. One of these was selected to make a larger snow scene using dark, negative shapes/space to depict the shape of snowy roofs, paths etc.
The lovely work is below - well done everyone!
