Exhibitions...

Circles of Light (The Big Draw in Fylde) 2012 Exhibitions

2,012 drawings made by residents and visitors to Fylde over the summer will be displayed as two artist's interventions in October:  one in Kirkham Memorial Park and one in Lowther Gardens, Lytham.

Come along and see the amazing work made as it takes the form of spectators where you, the viewer will become a participant. These feel good exhibitions will use the site to add context to how the pieces are understood.  Visitors will be able to add to the exhibitions through drop-in activities which will take place alongside the work.

Free – for all ages and abilities – wheelchair friendly

Kirkham Memorial Gardens: 11 am - 4pm, Sat & Sun, 20 & 21 October

Lowther Gardens, Lytham: 11 am - 4pm, Sat & Sun, 27 & 28 October

Artist and Project Manager, Christine says, “It’s been a fantastic summer for the project.  Nearly 1,300 people have participated so far and we hope more will have a go at drawing “something they love” during the exhibitions.”
“People of all ages and abilities have taken part from the very young to the elderly.  Many claimed they couldn’t draw when we met them but with encouragement from the Circles of Light team of five artists, they were delighted to be proved wrong!”
