Based on a project I delivered for FRED in 2005. "Autumn Leaves" for FRED encouraged visitors to Grizedale Forest to draw pictures of their half term holidays on prepared, coloured paper which had been cut into the shape of leaves. The leaves were then crumpled and laid together on the ground to create leaf litter.
For Art Circle, we warmed up by making quick, large drawings of leaves before using another drawing of a leaf as the support for images of holidays. A selection of the work is below.
