Circles of Light (The Big Draw in Fylde) 2012 Exhibitions
2,012 drawings made by residents and visitors to Fylde over the summer will be displayed as two artist's interventions in October. One in Kirkham Memorial Park and one in Lowther Gardens, Lytham. Come along and see the amazing work made as it takes the form of spectators where you, the viewer will become a participant. These feel good exhibitions will use the site to add context to how the pieces are understood. Visitors will be able to add to the exhibitions through drop-in activities which will take place alongside the work.

Thank you for all your bright and colourful drawings.
You took the idea and made it your own - perfect!
There's something about a scout hut and a cub pack that seems to defy all physics. How can so few individuals make so much noise? However, one word from Akela and you can hear a pin drop...
A fantastic, exuberant evening - thank you everyone.
The three days of the St Annes Music & Arts Festival have been wonderful. We've had the opportunity to meet lots of interesting people, some on holiday and many local residents, some came especially to see us and some were accosted on the pavement and roped in. Our oldest participant was 88 and our youngest (with the help of mum) was a few months old. All your drawings are beautiful and I promise they will be on the blog soon.
Also, a big thank you to Cllr Barbara Mackenzie for taking on the task of bringing the three days of activity together. All the time put into making the Music and Arts Festival happen and indeed the other work undertaken by town councillors is voluntary. Barbara, your time, commitment and extraordinary energy is appreciated - thank you from all the Circles of Light team.
Apologies for not having any images uploaded for you to see. Technology has got the better of me once again. They will be put on the blog, hopefully this will happen sooner rather than later.
Tomorrow is the last day of the festival. There's still lots to see, hear and experience. Why not make a day of it? Craft & art in the morning including a visit to Circles of Light in Garden Street of course and maybe the RNLI in the afternoon for the concert? If the weather is as beautiful as it has been today you will definately "like to be beside the seaside"!
Next weekend Circles of Light (The Big Draw in Fylde) 2012 will be in a shop in Garden Street, St Annes near JR Taylors. This is our home for the three days of the Arts Festival.
Our target for the weekend is 300 drawings so... we need your help!
If you've joined us before, do come along again and bring friends & family, if you haven't, this is a perfect opportunity to see what's been going on all summer.
The activity is free and suitable for all ages
