Big Draw, Lowther Gardens, Lytham Exhibition (Sunday)

What a wet and windy day!

Thank you to the brave souls who joined us and apologies to anyone who came after 1pm.  We left just before the rain came down sideways.  I suppose it's fitting that the public side of the project ended as it began.  Remember rainy days with the mobile library?  [see earlier entries]

We're hoping to have all the work displayed indoors before Christmas so... watch this space.

Newsflash.... Big Draw in the "witches hat" Lowther Gardens, Lytham

The coastal show of the work made by hundreds of residents and visitors to Fylde will take place this weekend.  11am - 4pm Saturday & Sunday under the "witches hat" in Lowther Gardens.

No, it's not a pre-Hallowe'en special, although spooky things are happening in the gardens over half term.  (see http://www.lowtherpavilion.co.uk )

The "witches hat" is a shelter near the aviary in the gardens.  The Circles of Light team will be on hand to help you make your own contribution to the artwork.

FREE - no need to book - for all ages & abilities - wheelchair friendly

Circles of Light (The Big Draw in Fylde) 2012 Exhibition, Kirkham Memorial Park (Sunday)

Working outside always presents challenges:  no two events are the same.  The only constant is the team's determination to do it!
Come along and see how we do it this time and see what 1,653 people have made over the course of the project.  There are 1,829 drawings.  We would like to reach 2,012 and with your help we can.

It's easy - we'll help - come and have a go.

Lowther Gardens
11am - 4pm Saturday & Sunday, 27th & 28th October

The exhibition and drop-in sessions are free, suitable for all ages and abilities, wheelchair friendly and no need to book.

Kirkham Exhibition (Sunday), the Big Draw, more blue sky and a better setting...

Kirkham Exhibition (Saturday), the Big Draw, blue skies and sunshine...

what more could be wanted. Saturday, 20th October was a beautiful autumnal day with crispy leaves on the ground, very little wind, blues skies and sunshine. To top it all Friends of Kirkham Parks gave a much appreciated helping hand to set up.
