scale, a colleague & the Great Promenade Show

A day of two halves.

In the morning, we considered scale as part of a visual language and in the afternoon we reconvened at Solaris in Blackpool to meet Chris Knapman, an artist who makes caricatures, including one of yours truly (see last image).

Chris has an exhibition of his work in Solaris and explained to us a little about it and gave an impromptu demonstration of one of the processes he uses (see below).

Then we walked through and discussed some of the work in the Great Promenade Show and ended the day by sketching some of the sculptures.

Excellent day - with many thanks to Chris Knapman and Art Circle.  It's a pleasure going out and about with you!
